Steam Bundle Changes As Of May 21st

Steam Bundle Changed As of May 21st
With a recent update from Strange Matter Studios, we have learned that the original promotional prices will have to be shortened to one week from the projected three week sale due to restrictions with Steam.
According to Strange Matter, “after discussing with Steam we have learned they do not allow sales on release to last more than 7 days. So, unfortunately, the sale of the game that was previously going to last 3 weeks will now only last 1 week. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Stay tuned.”
Steam claims this is to help smaller indie studios as they have found through their experience that anything more than a one week discount on the launch of a title may potentially hurt the developers more than it would benefit.

If you are unable to get your hands on the game in the first week do not worry as the game will still be available on Steam.
One of the founders of Strange Matter Studios and the Fault project responded when a FHN representative inquired about the situation.
“Yeah for some reason Steam doesn't like sales longer than one week”
“Yeah, there are a few restrictions, and on top of it all you have to go directly through a Steam rep and get it approved in advance.”
There are possibilities of multiple sales for Early Access at later dates. However, Steam has even more restrictions that could potentially affect and delay the release of these deals.
